MISSION

Nowadays Ukraine lives through the critical transformational times, undergoes the trials which should bring it to a new stage of development. In the crisis it is important to find a resource and it should be started with the little as usual. And in our case – with the youngest. The territory of childhood is the primary and the main thing to care about.

The traumatizing situation for children of war and displaced persons from the Southeast of the country has to be liquidated as soon as possible. Their fears, isolation and uncertain national identity play a negative role in their growing. After all, it is not possible to develop into a strong personality, a full-grown member of the society, a conscientious citizen of your country without overcoming psychological problems and instilling patriotic values.

The beginning of the way of overcoming we see in granting social and psychological assistance to suffering children in line with education of children and youth of all regions of Ukraine in the spirit of patriotism and love to their people. This idea seems realizable thanks to one of the major projects of the “Veritas” organization – the initiative of set-up of a permanently functioning social and psychological camp for young Ukrainians: children of war, children-migrants.

The social and psychological rehabilitation of children-migrants, their communication with children from different corners of Ukraine, shared games, entertainment and sports contests combined with solving the concrete practical problems will faster result in the national unity. Through the problematics of fulfilling the assigned tasks together, an active interaction, children will learn to overcome difficulties, to self-organize without expecting help from outside and to grow in accomplished adequate citizens of their country. As only in the course of coordination, studying the peculiarities of each other, acknowledgement of the cultural, linguistic and ideological specifics of all regions of Ukraine the concord and the solidarity of all people for the sake of wellbeing is possible. Children is our future and only by taking care about their development, education and feeling of belonging to their country we will be able to bring up a happy, healthy and pro-Ukrainian spirited generation.

The public charitable organization “Veritas” has been founded by the patriots of their country, the people who are not indifferent about the destiny of Ukraine, its younger generation and who have a big desire to help people from different places of our sizeable country. We invite all not indifferent to participate in our projects in order to build the future of our country right now, this very minute!

In a camp like this through a direct contact and in entertaining playful way the atmosphere of amicability and cooperation will be formed, motivating to love your country, to respect your people and to aspire to become a patriot. Thanks to the involvement of participants from different regions of Ukraine and a qualified help to children of war and children-refugees, an intensive interchange of the cultural priorities, values, opinions will take place as well as the ideas of unification, mutual understanding and mutual aid will be spread.

The exchange of such important group values like the language, the religion, the ideology and the traditions contributes to build-up of the national identify – full of variety but accepted by the majority, common and felt. In such patriotic self-determination there will be no place for stereotypes of that the South-East is an ‘under-Ukrainized’ part of the country, whereas Galicia is the only etalon of the authentic Ukrainianness but a new, enriched and positive image of our country will be jointly created. The children’s health-improving complex in the Central region, in the territory which objectively can be called neither the Eastern nor the Western part of Ukraine would be the symbol of consolidation of children as the future patriotically minded generation.
